No News is Good News...

I have no photos worth showing. I KNOW you don't want to see photos of what I've REALLY been doing - sorting through clothing or dusting or painting another thing white...so I'm just checking in to let you know that things are still happening here, even if they're not photo-worthy.

I am still in the "it has to get worse before it gets better" phase - meaning closets are purged and stuff is everywhere. Furniture is being moved from one room to another. I still have not been able to work on any "cute" stuff. But progress is happening, and I'm pleased to see it getting organized and pared down.

A fall garage sale is in the works - maybe early October when the weather is nice. This week we've been around 100 degrees, and that's just too dang hot for my taste.

Things never move at the pace at which I WISH they'd move, but still, even in the midst of a big old mess, I see progress.

So if you might please forgive my feeble attempt to fabricate a post out of bits and pieces from past photo sessions just so I can tell you I am still alive and have not fallen off a ladder or something, I'd be grateful.

I promise to keep plugging away until I can get even a small project into some state of finish you might actually like to see.

Because I DO have about 53 things in the works. And some of them, I'm pretty sure you might like. Until then...

Word for the Day:
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

I just finished a five day sale. So, I can totally relate. All I felt like doing was cleaning, organizing, and getting rid of stuff. Couldn't focus on blogging. Glad you're making progress.

I think we all have these times! Sometimes you've just gotta take care of "stuff". Glad you're making progress, and I always enjoy the Word for the Day : )

Good to see you back, even if it's just a quick progress report. Organization can be a pain but you'll feel so much better when it's done :). Looking forward to seeing what you've been up to.

Hi, there, my friend :) At least you are making progress! Summer is whizzing by, and I've yet to start tackling the projects on my list of to-dos - boohoo!! Oh well, there is always winter break. Perhaps this weekend I'll sort out my closet, and make a run to the salvation army. Stay cool, Revi!
Bye for now,
Loi

Same here Revi, I have been working on so many things, that I haven't taken pictures, so I don't post about them. Maybe this Fall, we will settle down a bit and get pictures and posts together and get them posted. Have a Blessed week, Trisha

Oh, I hate that stage where nothing looks 'pretty' but you know you're slowly making progress! Keep up the good work! ;)

Hi Revi,
Good to hear from you. Again, if I lived closer I'd come help you weed out your stuff. I thought you'd appreciate a chuckle though. I was tinting the paint that I bought and didn't like the color of, and I neglected to ask you what you stirred a 5 gallon bucket of paint with...I ended up using a piece of molding because I couldn't find a paddle. I felt like a witch stirring my brew. lol I am happy with the color and hope to find enough energy to paint soon.
Have fun with your simplifying :)
