I Need a Little Seven...

Sometimes you just have to do it.
Even if you are usually plain and simple,
and you prefer solids to florals.

Even if you aren't usually one who follows trends.
You don't have anything chevron or quatrefoil
in your home, though you like how they look
in other people's homes. You just have to do it.

You fight the urge to do it. You tell yourself,
"This fad will pass before I get it done."

But it doesn't. And you're still not tired of it.
And you have all the supplies and "know-how" to do it.
So you just do it.

And you tell yourself, "This will be easy to change...
when I get tired of it." But for like it.

Especially when you bought it for $6.96 looking like this...

...and it only took a couple of hours, a little chalk paint,
and a few things you already had on hand.
(copy of large number, carbon paper, craft paint & brush, pencil)

It is a little reminder of God's number of completion
And completion is sounding pretty good right now.

And you like to surround yourself with little reminders
because you need as many of them as you can find.

FYI - The number seven is in the Bible 316 times.

Word for the Day:
Genesis 2:1-3

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

You say what I'm thinking! Only you also carry through. I've been wanting to do a number somethingorother and a chevron thingamajig, but gosh there is so many things I want to do. How cool that you had that little stand table to work with. So perfect.

Such a shapely Number Seven! "God is in the details".....who said that? Mies van der Rohe?

I so enjoy seeing how God is part of our daily life, so beautiful the way you incorporated the number 7 on the table and the bible verse and the word completion. The table is absolutely beautiful. Did you notice you almost paid $7 for it as well?? Maybe with tax???

God Bless You,
Pearl 13.1

I love the vintage script of the 7. You made the table very stylish! It looks like a big typewriter button!

Your artistic talents are shinning girl. You might need to think about a side line business. Your room is looking so good.
