What's Next? Heavy Industry and Fancy French - TOGETHER!

You know how it goes...you can see it your my mind's eye. For me, it is often a visual feast of two very opposite styles showcasing each other.

Opposites used together excite me so much; ornate gold frames, walnut wood, rusty vintage industrial objects...

Perhaps a new gallery wall behind the sofa, with gilded frames, aged mirrors and industrial tidbits all mixed together.

A bigger, even more industrial version of this:

I can see gilded gold, gray metal, dark wood, and a pop of mustard yellow here and there...

Really, it is not so very different from what I have done in the past, just more focused, minus some of the cottage whites.

Favorite objects collected over many years will be used, of course; many you have seen before...

...but hopefully they will be displayed in different ways. New things found in the past few months will also be incorporated. I have been saving some of them to show you at the proper time.

Grayed down whites, grays, mustard yellow, dark wood, gilded metal, rusty metal, dark bronze...

a visual feast of patina and texture...

Industrial wire, vintage French, plain and fancy...

More than just the decorative items will change...I plan to do some furniture switcharoo, too.

Musical chairs and tables will happen...and the sweet cottage bench will go to the middle bedroom.

But the vintage trunk will stay because it has the right Vibe.

The French chair will stay...and more French friends will join the party.

The book shelves will stay...

These changes will most likely spill into the dining room, since the two rooms are really almost like one space.
I will save that for a different post!

Word for the Day:
Psalm 119:127
Therefore I love your commandments above gold, above fine gold.

I spy some beautiful things gathering around. I wonder which ones will make the cut. Interesting you are going gilded instead of silver or galvanized.

You've got plenty of vintage goodies to work with! I can't wait to see how you're going to change things up!

You've peeked my interest, Revi, with a taste of all your vintage goodness. Love the mix of finer things with the rusty and crusty items we love.
Anxious to see your changes!
