It may not matter. I'm listing this item on Etsy. But...
I am a bit curious. What would you do?
Would you use them as intended - take them out of the package and place candles in them?
Or would you keep them in their funky retro 1960's package, complete with the price tag of .98c?
No, I did not pay .98c for them. And I'm glad I have an Etsy store, so I don't have to decide what will be done with them.
Seriously - the packaging is so fun! But those candle holders could look amazing in a variety of environments. And do you love it as much as I do that they're expandable to fit a variety of candle sizes? I wonder why these aren't still made.
The Vaughan Company is a Chicago company that is still here today. I searched for a long time and never found anything on Google that came any closer than a tomato slicer or a bottle opener.
Tell me...what would YOU do?
Word for the Day:
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Revi, I would be just like you, not wanting to disturb the packaging, but, at the same time wanting to use them. I guess if they didn't sell on Etsy, I would probably run a thin knife blade under the plastic bubble, remove the candle holders and save the packaging to put them back into when I was finished with them. Have a Blessed day.
I remember these. They are the bomb! You should keep them. I hate to ever open a package and yet, how can you use them if you don't? Selling them would make a buck though, and surely someone will pay a good amount for them since they are useable and have the package. I just can't decide! A lot of help I am.

I think the packaging is so charming!! Hmmm, hard decision! :)

I remember using these! Okay, okay, yes, I'm old! (big smile) I would keep them in the package as a great archeological find! Maybe arrange it in a frame/shadow box with other finds from that era. If I recall, they lost popularity because after a while they lost their shape, or something like that.
