None of these lamps cost more than $5 at thrift stores.

No shade here cost more than $8.

No lamps were harmed during
the production of this blog post.

1 thrifted lamp + 1 can of spray paint + 1 new shade = 1 new lamp 2 love.

Word for the Day:

Luke 11:36
If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark,
it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.

I am a bit obsessed with making over lamps as well! There are so many old lamps in every thrift store that I am never at a loss for for finding one with a neat shape that I can make over. My latest post is even about making over a lampshade that was on a lamp that I purchased. Rarely they have the shades on them, but this one had a cheap one and I recovered it.

So much fun! Visiting from the Shabby Nest.

I really like them all. I'm glad to know no lamp was "harm" during the process. You've been pretty busy to get all the lamps done. Where will you be using all of them. So glad you shared your creative inspiration with Sunday's Best!

Those last two look like two little best friends whose mom lets them dress alike (me and my friends did that when we were little). They are too cute! What will you do with them all now? Do they all have a place in your house or are you selling? Also really love that one that looks like mercury glass or mirror or whatever. Nice!

Clever ideas--I love that they were very inexpensive to do!

Revi, I love how all of these turned out. Not to long ago I ran across a pr. of large "dated" owl lamps. They were selling the pair for $5. I could kick my self for not getting them. They would have been adorable painted white w/ burlap shades. The one you did that looks like mercury glass is really interesting :)
Thanks for sharing!
