Above is the after white paint version...
Below is how it looked at the thrift store.
Confession time...I sometimes neglect to closely inspect my thrift store finds. I thought this one was a cherub...
But upon closer inspection...as in when I was painting...it appears to be some sort of sea creature thingy.
And I don't have a clue what the big thing it's holding is...that supports a flat surface for a candle or something like that.
Still, whatever it is, it has a certain amount of vintage charm. I hope someone in Etsyland thinks so, too.
Speaking of charm...we had plenty of it this week! Thank you to all you faithful party people, and welcome to the new folks.
This weeks features include...
I fell in love with these vintage chairs. She plans to paint them...
She also recounted a strange story about exploding vintage pyrex...inside her car! If anyone knows what might have caused it, please let her know, so she can clue the rest of us in as well.
Next up is Audrey from Timeless Treasures...she showed a summer mantel revision with some beautiful green treasures and cement pieces...
Some of the cement is vintage birdbath parts, and some she made herself. LOVE the green glass bottles...and the fence part! It looks so great against her limestone fireplace stone.
Sandra from Harrismith De Oude Huize Yard shared a collection of mismatched blue china and glass pieces she uses in their 150 year-old home, which is also a guest house.
I love the mix array of blues, aquas and white!
It is mid-August...still hot here for a couple of months, but fall is coming. Garage sale season is still strong for now...so get out there and find some good stuff for pocket change, and bring it next week! We can't wait to see your treasures.

Word for the Day:
Hebrews 10:24-25
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

I'm excited to be linking up for the first time. Do you send out reminders? I'm so bad at remembering... thank you so much for hosting. This looks like a fun party Revi!
I like your sea-thingy and I thought it was a cherub too until you pointed out that it's not. I have no idea what he is holding either ~
Thank Revi for featuring me this week. I hope someone has an idea of why my Pyrex broke. Have a great weekend!
I thought maybe it was a baby sea siren, but I don't know...all mine have boobs and are full grown! lol
Love this weeks features and I'll be here next week!
