Sneak Peek - Vignettes in the Middle Bedroom

Just when I tell you I still like an all white environment, here's a little infusion of aqua and blue...

My furniture and all the foundation pieces in the room are still going white, but I decided to have a little fun with the accessories. I'm putting bird & garden things in this room for now. Of course, they can all be easily swapped out if I feel the need for change.

Everything in the photo above was found at a thrift store, except the aqua pot on top of the books. It was a gift years ago from my MIL.

The vintage garden books, bird cage and alabaster bird were all thrifted. The gate picture frame was found years ago in a garage sale. The wood trellis was bought in a "real store" years ago.

The watercolor print was a thrift store find, as was the aqua saucer on which the faux greenery in the painted terra cotta pot is sitting.

This wall art is all from thrift stores. It has been revised with homemade plaster paint.

The butterflies have just the faintest touch of aqua blue.
All they needed were to have the frames painted and distressed a bit.

I still have plenty to do in this room; curtains to hang, a headboard project, a French chest of drawers and chair to paint some shade of white, not to mention bedding. I did buy some new white sheets...and a French linen curtain. Maybe next weekend I'll have more progress to show you!

Word for the Day:
Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? ...

you got a lot done. I am impressed you can remember exactly where you got each item...and that is supposed to be a compliment

How pretty. I always love looking at vignettes and trying to figure out why they work so well...and learn from others. Love using books in all my decor, too!

Your white still reigns supreme, but I love the hints of soft color and various tones and shades of white.
Love all your new decorating changes with things you already own or have thrifted. Love it!
Hugs,
Patti
