Frugal Finds for Etsy and Me - Mid June 2013

This sweet silver piece caught my eye at the same yard sale where I found the gray shelf and the antlers. It was a $2 find. It is also a keeper.

This vintage thermos has the best patina! I WANT to use it somehow, but haven't been able to figure out just how. I think it will go to Etsy...

This vintage brass cloisonne box is great, but not for my home. I may regret it, but I can't keep everything. It's Etsy-bound.

I bought this at Julie's garage sale. It's a bit Asian, but white paint changes that somewhat. I've already painted it, but that's another post!

Love the carved details! It's a keeper...for now.

I'm curious what you think about this one. I'm on the fence about painting it. It's another Etsy-bound piece. Would you paint it? Would you leave it in its original condition?

I can see it in my mind's eye painted in linen and white chalk paint, something like I painted the lemon topiary. But I wouldn't use it as-is in my home.

I may list it as is for now, then paint it if it doesn't sell soon.

I was going to send this silver bowl to Etsy, but then I decided to keep it.

This tiny frame has a great finish as is - I may do the faux antique mirror thing, or possibly add a family photo. Keep.

I love these vintage purses! This one is immaculate - black patent with matte leather details. I already have a similar one that I use sometimes when I get dressed up, so this one will be listed on Etsy.

Sometimes I buy things not knowing whether or not I will sell them, and other times I buy knowing I will sell. Something I think I'll sell, then I decide to keep.

The fruit needs painting - it would be lovely in white distressed! Love the silver pieces.

Revi, it's just fun buying and then you can decide. Thinking I may open an etsy the first of the year. Love finding treasures, but one does run out of room. The silver vase is fab. Definitely a keeper! I have a thermos just like that. Bought it for the color of course. Last year I had it outside with daisies in it. Just wondering, where is it now? I need to find it. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
p.s. I say paint the fruit.
