This Chair Called My Name...

And then she told me what needed to be done.

"Pretty bossy for a $3 chair," I replied.

Usually, I don't associate with $3 chairs.
I'm more of a $10 chair kinda gal.

But this one called my name.
And when I jiggled her, she seemed fine.
So I sat on her, and she's sturdy enough.

So what if she's a little rough around the edges.

And so she has a tiny problem keeping it all together.
(OK FINE - Her seat is not attached. That happens to
everyone at one time or another, doesn't it?)

She's likeable. And she has great curves.
I think she could be a real looker
with a little grooming and a new outfit.

And don't forget - she was only $3.
That's cheaper than a Cappuccino.
And zero calories.

So she and I are in complete agreement.
Now, we just have to do the work.

With a little help from our friend Annie, among others.

After that, she'll probably be sticking around.
You know, sometimes things like that just happen.
You meet a new chair, and before long it feels
like you've known them forever.

And so it goes in the house where orphans
come to live happily together. Welcome, sister chair.

Word for the Day:

John 14:18
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

You have your writers hat on tonight what a great blog. I feel like I should call this chair by a name, you made it so human.

Good luck with the makeover. I just know she's going to turn out gorgeous! How could you go wrong for three dollars?!

She is a beauty! And that flat seat back seems like its begging for a typography treatment from The Graphics Fairy. I'm a first time visitor, but I'll be back!
