Mysterious Game Pieces

Games People Played - Part 3

Years ago, my friend Vivian sent me a birthday present.
It was an old game board with a little box built in.
It was a circular shape, with concentric circles and
German words, all hand-written in 19th century style script.

I had no clue what the board said, and that was before Google.

The pieces are about the size of a quarter.

Each has a picture on it, as well as a number.

The subject matter is quite broad.

And the illustrations are charming.

As far as I can tell, the numbers don't relate to the images.

It all seems rather random.

I don't know if they went with the board,
or just ended up there,
so Vivian could find them in NYC
and mail them to me in Houston for my birthday.

I should find a way to display them to enjoy.
They remind me of Vivian. And they're a mystery.
And every woman needs a little mystery in her life!

Word for the Day:

Ephesians 1:9-10
9 And he made known to us the mystery

of his will according to his good pleasure,

which he purposed in Christ,
10 to be put into effect when the times
will have reached their fulfillment—
to bring all things in heaven and on earth
together under one head, even Christ.

Now I'm both curious and envious after seeing these charming game pieces. Surely someone will know what game they're from and tell you.

Those are SO cute! It would be interesting to find out what they were for, but regardless, they are adorable.
