What the heck are these things?
Wheels? Part of a pulley system? IDK, but they are pretty cool.
They are rusty and heavy. I think they'll make great pillar candle holders!
What do you think? A little scrub with a wire brush, maybe a clear coat...
Can't get much more industrial than that!
What about this little terra cotta pot?
I LOVE the shape of it. Very French.
It's probably going in my bathroom to hold Q tips - it's small.
Last but not least, the piece de resistance du jour:
A crusty little table/stand thingy.
So crusty, you can barely read the price of $6.96.
If I were a bettin' woman, I'd say this has been a plant stand.
And somebody probably over-watered her plants.
And killed 'em dead. Like me.
Well, I may not be able to save the plants,
but I can sure save this little plant stand/table!
Just wait and see...

they look like pulleys, but whatever they are, they are awesome! sweet table and pot, too!
How do you do it? Work full time and get to the best bargains in town. Those metal things looks like part of a weighing scale like I remember as a kid at the feed mill we use to get our corn grounded for the cows at. I couldn't really tell how big they were.

I love rust. lol I often just clean and seal rusty pieces. It give them great depth. Love your pulley pieces, and the pot. Yep, I'm sure the table was a plant stand.

I love trying to figure out what stuff is. My husband bought me some rusty bookends for my birthday and we searched all afternoon on the net trying to identify the Indian figure on the sides of them! It's all part of the mystery.

Those two things remind me of cleats ( I think that's what they're called/spelling?) they might have come off a boat and could have been used to tie up a boat?????
