Radiant Violet - Sneak Peek at Living Room Details

What do you do if you love a neutral room, but you also love a color so much you could eat it?

I am in no way ready to leave my mostly white and greige theme behind...but radiant violet has captured my heart.

So what to do...? Use it.

No, I am not painting an accent wall, or buying a new sofa...

...but I had this large plastic bin of violet and lavender things I used a few years back in a bedroom...

...and I found a knitted throw on sale for $11 at Big Lots...

not to mention objets d'art and books that found their way into my "collections"...

Then there were a few pillows...

Then I found chevron fabric at Walmart...

which sort of excites me to be able to use it in the same room as this vintage ironstone platter...

and this thrift store artwork...

and while it all might seem a bit much just seeing these sneak peeks...

I hope, when you see the finished spring updates as a whole...

You might find them as yummy as I do!

I still have some work to do...finishing the gallery wall behind the sofa...sewing pillows with that chevron fabric...adding some details that finish it off...

But I hope to show you a finished room Saturday or Sunday!

Until then...

Word for the Day:
One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.

  1. Looking good Revi ... love the punch of color. I need to do that in my living room ... it is so boring.
So happy to read your story over at Susan's Must Love Junk and getting to know you a little better. Beautiful Revi and family. Good luck.

  2. Hi Revi! I have found you through Susan's spotlight (Kris spotlighted me on 2/1). I'm happy to make your acquaintance and can't wait to read more posts. This one immediately reminds me of my mother - she epitomized the color purple - shades of which I see scattered here. :)

I found many similarities in how you started your blog - putting your name out there, the transition to Wordpress (I still have inertia), but I'll follow along your journey. I've just added your blog to my list of those to read, and maybe I'll even link up to your party - sounds fun!

I have signed up for a free wordpress account and chosen a name but that is about as far as I've gotten. Would love to talk with you further about starting a blog!
Go Red Raiders btw! ( my husband and I are both Texas Tech grads and still have family in Lubbock)
