The wheat grass project is going down the tubes tomorrow. Hannah and I will drink the grass in a green smoothie.
I'll grow more...and drink it as well.
This little bird will go into the guest room...
Now that she is free from distress...
I'm not sure about the lamps. I like this one in the living room...
I was going for the look of a weathered baluster.
Layers of ASCP French Linen and homemade Plaster of Paris faux chalk paint were layered for effect.
I like it better than the original brass finish.
Last but not really a before or after is a painting I did for the family who opens their home to host our Wednesday Bible Study group.
They have a cozy, colorful, comfortable home. They share it often.

Word for the Day:
Hebrews 13:2
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

that lamp re-do is fabulous, revi! no one would guess it was brass!
ReplyDeleteI love your bird redo, it turned out so nice.
ReplyDeleteI would put a larger shade on the lamp.
Hey! I love the lamp paint treatment. I would have never thought that they had started out as brass! Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou did good on your color choices for the lamp. I think you got the desired effect. Your bird is so much better now too!
ReplyDeleteHe is risen! Happy Easter!
Liz
I love what you did with the bird and lamp! they both look brand new...in an old world sort of way!
ReplyDeleteYou must tell me how you like the wheat grass in your smoothie.
Pat
Those colors in the painting are just awesome. It makes me happy just looking at it. The touch of gold is great too.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Revi!
