Recent Etsy Sales, etc.

Last October, I made a second attempt at selling items I listed on Etsy.

(I had to work out the whole shipping thing, and I still find it the most difficult part, but it's better now.)

I was looking for an outlet for items I won't use.
Most are found on my trips to thrift stores.
They're very cool, maybe just not "me."
I know cool, but I'm not very cool.

If the price was right, I just couldn't leave them there.
Could you?

Be honest.

Some are cool, my style, and I love them, but I have similar things and just don't need multiples.

Others are cool, my style, and I've used them.
Either I don't have a place for them, I find them a bit difficult to use, or I like other stuff better.

It pleases me when I know they're going to a home where they'll be loved and appreciated.

Some are possibly going to be re-sold for more than my listing price.

In any event, it's a good thing and I'm happy.
I clear out space.
I bring in a few extra bucks.
Maybe I buy a few more things at thrift stores and list some. It's my little way of helping out the economy.
(If you believed that one...)

  1. I am all about buying andnusing second hand! It's green and it's less expensive (most of the times) :)

  2. I also can't leave things sitting when they are priced so great. I will put them in my shop-- if they sell, they sell. That's a good thing. Do you MAKE OVER items that are vintage to sell? or just items that just barely pass for vintage and give them new life? 'ALTERED' ...I think that falls under the 'made by you catagory'...
I've not put much into anything that is newer. I just try to sell it on Ebay instead.

Some of these piece are cool! Love the standard stamp holder. Wish I'd seen that one when out shopping, I'd have scooped it up for sure!
    take care-- Pat

  3. That's so funny you posted this because I was going to write and ask you what kind of things you had sold recently. I am having a hard time deciding which items it's worth it to list. I think it's one of those things where you just never know who's going to want what. I should just quit thinking about it and do something. Fun stuff you sold. I love the chinese checkers. I have a nice wood set, but I love the colorful metal one better. That's the kind we played on as kids.

  9. Great job! You'll have that garage emptied in no time. ;)
Please explain the silver thing...it's a stamp holder?

  10. I'd use the flower frog ( but I already have several). I've seen tamp holder around here. Kinda neat. Don't know what I'd do with it, though.
