Hark the Herald - a New Greige Dining Room!

Seriously, It seems like forever...

I really feel like I've been stringing you along...

I finally have photos of a new greige room to show you...

I finished painting it last Friday. Next, I worked on the new gallery wall. This is a different kind - it has frames touching - no spaces in between. I used a recurring theme of circles and angels.

There were plenty of mirrors as usual. You see, this room has zero windows. It needs all possible light reflected.

I also brought in another table to use as a buffet during family gatherings and parties.

Then, in my usual vacuum-style decorating, I promptly filled it up with stuff.

I do plan to paint the table white after Christmas, but it's fine now, since there are touches of black in the little dust-ruffle curtains on the shelves...

Who knows? By then, I may decided to change it all. Here is how things will be until after Christmas in any event.

I do love the feel of the room, and how it visually flows with the adjoining living room space.

The doorway in the back goes into the knotty pine den.
That's waaaay down my list of to-do's.

For now, the den has the red stuff I haven't used anywhere else. But it's really dark. It's a den for sure-which is nice for watching TV. Maybe by next Christmas, it will be redone.

I'll share more dining room details with you in another post.
But for now, since you've been so nice and patient with me,
I just wanted you to see another "almost" finished space.

Word for the Day:
Luke 1:30-33
30 And the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
31 And behold, you will conceive
in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall call his name Jesus.
32 He will be great and will be
called the Son of the Most High.
And the Lord God will give to him
the throne of his father David,
33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

  8. Hearty applause! And congratulations on getting it done and in time for Christmas. The filled cubbies are a great touch and your wall is getting more intriguing by the minute. The black table is very cool. I like the contrast.

You have certainly accomplished quite a feat with all your creative and decorative endeavors this year. I hope you get some time to sit back and enjoy your newly greige room with your family now!

    Merry Christmas,
    Liz

  10. I really like your wall art and mixture of gold frames. Especially the empty frame with the angel in it, really makes the art work pop :) Great job
