Yesterday, I found out I'd have to hire a professional to replace a wire from an AT&T phone box on the outside of my house about 10 feet to a phone line inside my house.
The fellow said it would be $200 - $300 to do the work.
My adult children have been urging me for several years to give up the DSL line and change to cable internet, so that's what I'll do, beginning tomorrow evening. I HOPE that means I will have service tomorrow night!
I can switch to cable and bundle my land line, internet and cable for less than $5 more per month than I was paying for DSL, and get free long distance anywhere in the U.S. (I may not use it that much, but who knows?) No added expense, either, so I'm a little excited about the switch.
I should have listened to my children a long time ago.
I look forward to catching up with you! I have accomplished a few things, and will try to get photos ready to go for the launch.
Word for the Day:
Proverbs 19:20-21
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
